Triggering of the recorder generates an event code. After the recorder has
been triggered, it continues to record data for a pre-defined post-triggering
time. An asterisk is shown on the LCD on completion of the recording. The
status of the recording can also be viewed using SPA parameter
V246
.
As soon as the recorder has been triggered and the recording has finished, the
recording can be uploaded and analyzed by means of a PC provided with a
special program.
5.1.11.2.
Disturbance recorder data
One recording contains data from the four analog channels and up to eight
digital channels. The analog channels, whose data is stored either as RMS
curves or as instantaneous measured values, are the voltages measured by the
relay. The digital channels, referred to as digital signals, are pickup and trip
signals from the protection elements and the digital input signals linked to the
relay.
The user can select up to eight digital signals to be recorded. If more than
eight signals are selected, the first eight signals are stored, beginning with the
internal signals followed by the digital input signals.
The digital signals to be stored are selected with parameters
V238
and
V243
;
see Table 5.1.17.-5 and Table 5.1.17.-6.
The recording length varies according to the selected sampling frequency.
The RMS curve is recorded by selecting the sampling frequency to be the
same as the nominal frequency of the relay. The sampling frequency is
selected with SPA parameter
M15
; see the table below for details.
