Storing, mounting and disposal
Storing SAM600 modules
SAM600 modules not immediately installed should be stored in a dry and clean
place. It is recommended to avoid extreme temperature fluctuations. Do not
remove the module from shipping boxes and do not remove wrapping material.
Dismounting SAM600 modules
Before carrying out any work on the equipment make sure you are
familiar with the electrical safety regulations.
De-energize the measurement equipment connected to the analog input
connectors of the SAM600 module
Remove the SAM600 module’s power supply
Unplug the digital inputs
Remove the wiring from measurement equipment to the terminal blocks of the
SAM600 module
Remove the network cables from the SAM600 module
On the SAM600-TS module remove all 1PPS and 1PPS out connections
Remove the SAM600 module from its rail mounting
Disposing of SAM600 modules
SAM600 modules are electronic devices. While the modules are not hazardous,
many countries’ environmental laws require special handling of old electronic
appliances. SAM600 modules can be returned to the vendor, who will properly
handle the disposal. The return address can be found in the documents
accompanying the SAM600 module.
