5.1
Connecting the power cables
CAUTION
When powering the device with 24 V UC exclusively use extra low voltage with protective separation from other
circuits (German standard DIN VDE 0106).
Do not connect mains voltage 115 V AC or 230 V AC to the 24 V UC input.
This will damage the device electronics!

Step
Action
1.
Check whether the voltage specified on the type plate matches the
supply voltage.
2.
Use a power supply line with sufficient dimensions and ratings
(recommended line safety switches as of 2 A, slow-blow).
3.
Provide a mains switch or switchable power socket close to the device to be able to disconnect
the device from all power if required.
Mark the mains switch accordingly to allow for a clear allocation to the respective equipment.
4.
Connect the power cable to the mains.

The device may already start up directly upon connection to the mains!
