4.4 Common Configuration

Select the Configuration type required – see Section 4.1.1,
page 45.
Note.
Parameters applying only to Advanced or to Basic
Configuration are identified
and
respectively.
Enter the number of process groups required.
Each Process Group has 6 recording channels pre-assigned to
it – Group 1 (Ch1.1 to 1.6), Group 2 (Ch2.1 to 2.6).
If the Number of Groups is changed from 2 to 1, configuration
data for Process Group 2 is retained but not used.
Select the language to be used to display standard user
prompts and menu items.
Select a signal source used to acknowledge all active alarms in
both Process Groups simultaneously. Refer to Appendix A, page
108 for a description of the available sources.
Note.
This signal is edge-triggered. A rising edge (inactive to
active) or falling edge (active to inactive) triggers global alarm
acknowledgement.
Enter the tag to be used to identify the instrument on
configuration and audit log files.
