If an object should trigger a text message (SMS or email), the corresponding
settings must be carried out in the
‘Text message’
tab.
Fig. 5.3.2.3: Example of a text message for the object ‘Light Ground Floor’
In the ‘Text message’ tab, you can enter text for the object which should be
used for the text message. The required text can also be assigned for the
object state ON and OFF. The unit can also be entered for objects which
have a unit of measurement (e.g. °C for a temperature).
You must then indicate which users should receive the text message. You
can specify in the basic setup whether the TG/S should distinguish between
day and night (see 5.3.3.2).
The TG/S first sends the text message to the first communication partner
entered (1. message to). If a message cannot be sent to this user
(e.g. technical fault at the SMS centre) or this user does not acknowledge
the text message, the user entered under ‘2. message to’ is informed etc.
Once a message has been sent successfully to a user, this user does not
receive any further text messages.
The interval between 2 text messages is defined in the basic setup for mes-
sages (see 5.3.3.2).
