Reconnect power to the electronic board
CAUTION
–
Equipment/Property damage:
Power should not be reconnected until all
service procedures are completed, including reconnecting all wires, plugs, terminations, and
peripheral equipment. Failure to observe this caution may result in property damage. Do
not perform this procedure until instructed to do so.
Reconnect power:
If battery powered:
a.
Connect the battery to the BATT connector (J1 on the XFC
G5
, or J16 on the XRC
G5
).
b.
Connect the charging source connector to the CHRG terminal (J5 on the XFC
G5
, or J17
on the XRC
G5
).
If externally powered, connect the outside power source to the BATT connector (J1 on the
XFC
G5
, or J16 on the XRC
G5
).
The LCD contrast is controlled by the onboard potentiometer (R139). To adjust the contrast:
Locate the small onboard potentiometer (R139) on the top of the electronic board.
Using an extra small slotted screwdriver, turn the potentiometer screw clockwise as far as
possible (see figure below).
Turn the potentiometer screw counter-clockwise until the LCD screen is readable.
If information does not display after contrast adjustment, check the LCD ribbon cable
connection. Ensure the connector is securely plugged into the onboard DISPLAY connector.
If unable to see any information displayed after checking connection, call ABB technical
support.
