Once the reservoir is filled with the proper amount of insulin,

Put the insulin vial on the flat surface.

Hold the reservoir so that the reservoir tip points up.

To ensure sterility, do

touch the tip of the insulin reservoir.
Remove the needle from the

Dispose of the needle in a sharps
container.
Caution
:
RISK OF NEEDLESTICK INJURY. Used needles may be
contaminated and should be disposed of in puncture-resistant (sharps)
containers. Do not resheath used needles. Handle per national/
institutional guidelines and policies. Follow local waste disposal
regulations when disposing of sharps containers.

Attach the infusion set’s reservoir cap to the tip of the new
