Syntax: tar {-c|-a|-t|-T|-x|-X} [b|f|v|8] ["tarfile"]
<"framelist"...>
Archives and extracts multiple frames "framelist" to or from an
archive as YUV data frames in the standard tar format. The
specified "framelist" can be in the format of frame,
frameA-frameB, or clip name.
The commands in curly brackets are mutually exclusive, you
must use only one on each command line.
Where:
-c = create new archive
-a = append "framelist" to an
archive
-t = browse "framelist" from archive
-T = list "framelist" from archive
-x = extract "framelist" from
archive in raw mode
-X = extract "framelist" from
archive in clip mode
Where:
b = optional blocking factor (1-20)
f = optional SCSI address (default
"scsi4")
v = verbose mode
8 = store as 8 bit data (10 bit
default)
Where tarfile is:
Any valid file name.
Where framelist is:
Frames in the form frame,
frame-frame or clipname.
Where frame is:
Any valid frame number within
Diskus’ restrictions. (See Diskus
specifications.)
Where clipname is:
Any valid clip name.
The "-x" option extracts frames from the archive and stores
them on Diskus in the order they come off the archive,
starting at the current disk position. The "-X" option
