scp Command
This command is the SCSI equivalent of the UNIX rcp command.
Use this command to transfer files between the workstation and
Diskus. The hostname parameter is the DSLIB SCSI device in the
directory /dev/scsi. For convenience, you can link the relevant
driver to the SCSI/Ethernet hostname. Use the command:
ln /dev/scsi/sc0d6l0/ dev/scsi/diskus
NOTE: In the “sc0d6l0” string, the sixth character is
the letter “l” and not the numeral “1.”
This creates an “alias” named diskus for the driver and simplifies
using the scp command. Note that the default SCSI address is 6.
The frame formats are more extensive than in previous versions
and quick (one-fourth resolution) image transfers are supported.
scpc Command
This command loads a user-defined list of image files into the SGI
RAM before copying them to Diskus. Using this command with
a shell script can accelerate transfers.
yuv Command
Use this command to view YUV image files on the workstation’s
hard disk. The yuv command supports window and quick file
modes.
rgb Command
Use this command to view raw RGB image files on the
workstation’s hard disk. The rgb command supports window and
quick file modes, and is linked to the yuv command.
