whether the input video has setup added to Y/G. You can
configure the YUV input for either SMPTE/EBU or Betacam
levels.
Outputs
The standard Diskus has a serial digital CCIR 601/656 video
output and both RGB and YUV type analog component outputs.
The RGB signal has sync on green. The YUV signal conforms to
SMPTE/EBU standards.
Enabling the GUI for the analog outputs puts it on both YUV and
RGB. When connecting one output to a Status Monitor and the
other to a VTR component video input, enable the preview play
mode in the Defaults menu to clear the GUI from the output when
Diskus plays.
Use the analog I/O option when you need analog composite
and/or S-video component outputs. The GUI does not appear on
these outputs.
System Reference
Diskus can free run or you can lock it to an external source. Select
the mode in the Defaults menu. For externally locked mode,
connect a system reference to either of the reference connectors.
You can use the other reference connector as a loop-through to
connect the reference to other equipment. Connect a 75 ohm
terminator when you not using the connector as a loop-through.
Suitable reference signals include black burst or composite sync
from your house generator. It must match the line standard
selected on the front of Diskus.
