Ref Source
Free
Diskus is not locked to a reference input,
and free runs.
Ext
Diskus is locked to the analog reference
input signal on the REF connector. If there
is no signal input to this connector, Diskus
free runs and the setting reads Free (Ext).
Input
Diskus is locked to the main video input
signal, as selected above. If there is no
signal input to this connector, Diskus free
runs and the setting reads Free (Inp).
Frame Mode
Frame
Diskus plays back two fields as a frame and
keeps the fields aligned as they were when
you select Fm in the Transport window.
With playback speeds other than normal,
Diskus selects field 1 and field 2 pairs as
needed. When jogging or using the
(optional) Control Panel Control Knob, the
disk moves a frame at a time.
The interpolator function has no effect in
frame mode.
Auto
Same as frame mode, with one exception.
With playback speeds other than normal,
Diskus always selects fields from the same
frame of video. Use this mode when the
video is frame based (from film) and the
playback is other than normal speed.
The interpolator function has no effect in
frame mode.
