9 Maintenance and cleaning
To sharpen the tungsten electrode, use a sharpening device with a diamond
wheel. In doing so, observe the following:
• The point is sharpened longitudinally through the centre axis.
• Can be set for all electrode diameters.
• Offers continuous adjustment of the angle.
9.2 Cleaning the torch neck

Remove gas nozzle.

Check wear parts for visible damage and replace them, if required.

Clean the separating point and grease O-rings with silicone-free sealing
grease.

Check the TCP after each use or after a collision in the WH alignment jig.
9.3 Cleaning the changeable body

Clean coupling parts and slightly grease them with silicone-free sealing
grease.

Check clamp clip for visible damage and replace the complete changeable
body, if required.

NOTE
• Maintain the contact area between the torch neck and the changeable
body flat and free of soiling.
• When mounting the insulating jackets, make sure that no control leads
are caught between the two halves.
