Set the main switch to <0>.

Disconnect the device from the power supply.

Disconnect the device from the shielding gas supply.
9 Maintenance and cleaning
Scheduled maintenance and cleaning are prerequisites for a long service life and trouble-free operation.
The maintenance cycle is determined by the work environment and the device’s maintenance intervals. If the
device is operated for more than 8 hours a day, the maintenance intervals should be changed as needed.
Observe the specifications of IEC 60974

regulations.
WARNING
Electric shock due to live parts
Fatal electric shocks can occur if components are live during maintenance and cleaning work.
► Set the main switch to <0> before maintenance and cleaning work.
► Disconnect the power supply.

Electric shock due to defective cables
Fatal electric shocks may occur if cables become damaged or are improperly installed.
► Check all live cables and connections for proper installation and damage.
► Have any damaged, deformed, or worn parts replaced by a qualified electrician only.

Risk of crushing
Limbs can be crushed if device components are improperly installed or uninstalled.
► Keep your hands out of the danger zone.
► Check and wear your personal protective equipment.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to unexpected start
If power is supplied during maintenance, cleaning or disassembly, rotating parts can start running
unexpectedly and lead to injuries from cuts.
► Switch off the device.
► Disconnect all electrical connections.
CAUTION
Fire hazard due to contamination
Dust deposits inside the machine can lead to a reduction in insulation. This can cause short circuits or
fires.
► Clean the machine at regular intervals with dried compressed air to remove dust and welding
fume residues.
