9 Maintenance and cleaning

xFUME FLEX has two filter elements used to filter welding fumes. The pre-filter
removes coarse welding fume particles
from the welding fumes. Fine welding fume particles are removed by the primary filter
and collected there.
9.1 Inspection/service intervals
If the device is operated for more than 8 hours a day, the maintenance intervals should be changed as needed. Regular
maintenance keeps the device in good visual condition and good working order.

NOTICE
• The specified maintenance intervals are standard values and refer to single-shift operation.
• We recommend recording the inspections. The date of the inspection, the detected defects and the name of the
inspector must be recorded.

Weekly
Monthly
• Check the pre-filter; replace the
filter pad as needed
• Check the primary filter and
replace as needed.
• Check the extraction arm and replace
as needed.
• Clean outer surfaces.
