Power Management
This controls the entire power management scheme.
There are four settings:
User Defined
You set the power saving options manually
Disable
Turns off all power management
Max Saving
Maximizes power saving by activating maximum
power saving settings after one minute of system
in ac tivity
Min Saving
Produces less power saving by activating moder-
ate power saving settings after one hour of sys-
tem inactivity
PM Control By APM
W hen this is set to Yes the Advanced Power Manage-
ment feature in Microsoft W indows controls power man-
agement operation. The default setting is No.
Video Off Method
This governs monitor power saving by controlling how
power management blanks the monitor screen. The de-
fault setting blanks the screen and turns off vertical and
horizontal scanning and requires a monitor with “ green”
features. If you don’ t have this type of monitor, use the
Blank option. DPMS (Display Power Management Sys-
tem) allows the BIOS to control the video display card if
the card has the DPMS feature.
