7. Recommendation and Advice
•
Use good quality power cables, paying attention to thicknesses (see
AWG guide table in APPENDIX) and connectors. Thin and long power
cables could cause problems to devices like cmos, ccd etc.

Please use a power supply sized and suitable for the required
absorption.
•
Also for USB cables, use good quality and short cables.
•
Make sure to use a good quality power supply/battery with a cable of at
least 16AWG.
•
The power outputs protected with a polyfuse will selfrestore when the
device that generated the problem will be disconnected.
•
In case of polyfuse intervention on one port, the other ports will
continue to work seamlessy.
•
The maximum transfer rate of the USB ports is 480Mbit/s, which
theoretically corresponds to 60Mb/s. Any slow data writing to your hard
drive or SD card could be caused by a memory write speed lower than
the USB transfer speed.
