Tip: Change the code again, if you had a false alarm for no apparent
reason. It might be possible that an identical device is installed in your
neighbourhood.
•
After setting a new code, you have to check the whole system (see Test)
Pay attention to the exact setting of the chosen code. Use a small screwdriver
for the setting!
Special Code “0”
•
The code “0“ has a priority function
•
If code “0“ is set on a smoke detector, the device can receive alarm
signals of other devices with any other codes with a delay of approx. 3
minutes and it directly transmits an alarm to any other detector with the
code “0“. This function can be useful for a great variety of applications,
e.g. multifamily residences!
•
If an alarm is triggered with detectors set to code “0“, the detector directly
transmits the alarm without delay to any other detector set to code “0“,
and it only transmits to these detectors!!!
Silent mode / sensitivity regulation
The sensitivity reduction can be useful in certain situations (e.g. in case of
smoking a cigarette).
•
If there is the danger of a false alarm, you can reduce the sensitivity for
approx. 10 minutes by pressing the test button for approx. 2 to 3 seconds.
Subsequently, the LED will blink 2 times each 8 seconds.
•
The device will return to normal sensitivity after approx. 10 minutes.
•
The sensitivity can also be set manually to normal status by pressing the
button again.
Alerting and fault signal
•
If the alarm threshold is exceeded, a loud alarm will sound. The alarm
remains triggered as long as smoke remains in the detection chamber.
