- Hold the torch in such a manner that it does not
dazzle you and those around you!
- Never intentionally dazzle another person or shine in
the direction of moving vehicles, planes or flying
objects. There is a high risk of an accident if drivers
are dazzled!
- The reflector of the torch gets very warm. Therefore,
do not place the torch on inflammable objects (e.g.
paper) and do not touch the reflector.
Never cover the lamp! danger of heat accumulation.
- Do not open the reflector (danger of burning and risk
of fire!)
- This torch must not be used underwater.
- Keep packaging away from children. There is a risk of
suffocation!
- Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Children
may put batteries in their mouths and swallow them.
This can cause serious harm to their health. Seek
immediate medical attention in this event!
- Batteries must be inserted with the correct polarity
(+ and -).
- Empty batteries must be removed or replaced
immediately.
- Different battery types, or new and used batteries,
must not be mixed.
- The battery terminals must not be short-circuited.
- Risk of burns from contact with leaking or damaged
batteries! In these cases, use suitable protective
gloves and clean the battery compartment with a dry
cloth.
- Batteries must not be dismantled, punctured,
damaged, short-circuited, heated, charged or
thrown into an open fire (risk of explosion!).
- Do not use or store the product in areas where the
temperature could reach below -20°C or above +40°C.
Do not expose the product to direct sunlight for long
periods of time.
- Never look directly into the light emitted by this
torch.
- Do not use the torch if it is visibly damaged or is
malfunctioning.
- Make sure the torch is kept out of reach of children
and people who are not able to use it correctly.
- This torch is not a toy.
- This torch is not suitable for household room i
llumination.
- Repair of this torch is only permitted by the
manufacturer (ABUS).
- Keep the torch away from salt water. Salt water can
damage the lamp and batteries and cause the
product to malfunction.
- Since this is an electronic product, please consider
the wanted environment of use similar to the one of
your smartphone.
- Store the torch in an area that is dry, protected
against direct sunlight and excessive heat, and
inaccessible to children.
- Do not use any harsh cleaning agents!
- Never submerge the torch in water, cleaning fluid or
other liquids. Never clean the torch under running
water.
- Brushes with nylon bristles, metallic brushes or other
hard surfaces and tools, such as coarse cleaning
sponges, blades, scrapers and other similar items
may damage the surface of the torch and cause it to
malfunction or stop working.
- We recommend using a soft, dry cloth or a slightly
damp cloth to remove dust and dirt from the torch.
- Remove the batteries if the torch is not used for an
extended period of time.
First commissioning (Fig. 1, page 2)
1. Unscrew the cover (B) of the battery compartment (C)
and remove it.
2. Insert 2 AA type batteries (D) into the battery
compartment. Make sure the polarity is correct
when inserting them (see figure and note in the
battery compartment)!
3. Screw the cover back onto the battery compartment.
