2. Connections
DVR provides 4 input ports for connecting to external alarm devices, such as reed switch
and IR detector etc. Each input port can be independently set as NO or NC type of the
equipment, and the alarm type can be configured through the DVR Alarm Input setup
page. Once the alarm input device is triggered, the alarm signal will be sent to the DVR,
and then the alarm output signal will be sent to the alarm output device.
To ensure the proper connection with the alarm devices, please press and hold the button,
and insert the bare wire of the signal cable into the pin connector. Release the button and
gently pull on the signal cable to make sure it is properly connected. To remove the signal
cable, push down the button and pull out the signal cable from the pin connector.
2.1 Sensor(Alarm) Input
First, check if your alarm input device needs to be grounded, and should be connected to
the GND (port3) port on the DVR device. Event signals from the external alarm device are
