Configuring a Static IP Address
By default, the 5301-DC will automatically use DHCP to obtain an IP address. If your network requires your device to
use a static IP address, a manual change using the local interface is required.
Before setting a static IP address, it is important to note that the network administrator for the specified installation
network will need to supply the following Static IP address details:
• Fixed TCP/IP Address with Network Mask (ie: xx.xx.xx.xx/yy)
NOTE: Address XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/YY = CIDR Notation.
CIDR = Decimal # of the leading 1 bits in the routing mask. ie: /24 = Subnet Mask of 255.255.255.0
• Default Network Gateway
• Metric
• DNS Address(es)
NOTE: If you are using Accelerated View to manage your 5301-DC device, you will need to configure these same
static IP settings in the configuration profile of the 5301-DC in Accelerated View. Refer to the "Viewing & Editing
Configuration" sub-section in the "Advanced Configuration Using Accelerated View" section above for details on
configuring your 5301-DC in Accelerated View.
