IP & RIP Settings
This menu allows you assign an IP address, subnet mask, Ethernet frame type,
proxy ARP server, and RIP settings for each VLAN configured on this switch.
(Note that you must create a VLAN before configuring the corresponding IP or
RIP settings.) The following menu and table describes the basic IP, proxy ARP,
and RIP settings for each VLAN.

Description
VLAN ID
The numeric identifier for each VLAN.
IP Address
The IP address assigned to this VLAN group.
Subnet Mask
A template that identifies the bits of the host address used for routing to
specific subnets.
RIP
A protocol that specifies how routers exchange routing table information
(RFC 1058).
