Spanning Tree Port Priorities
Use this menu to display or configure the priorities for each port. This value is
used to determine the shortest path between any two nodes in the Spanning Tree
when the path cost is the same for competing ports. To configure the priority for
any port, first highlight a port with the cursor, press Enter, and type in the new
value.

Parameter
Description
Priority
Defines the priority for the use of a port in the STP algorithm. If the path
cost for competing ports on a switch are the same, the port with the highest
priority (i.e., lowest value) will be configured as an active link in the
spanning tree. Where more than one port is assigned the highest priority,
the port with lowest numeric identifier will be enabled.
Default: 128
Range: 0 - 255
