Installation

Unpacking the Freezer

WARNING: Use two or more people to move the freezer. Failure to do so can result in back or other

        injury.

Remove tape and any packing-related labels from your fridge before using (do not remove the rating label).

To remove any remaining tape or glue, rub the area briskly with your thumb. Tape or glue residue can also

be easily removed by rubbing a small amount of liquid dish soap over the adhesive with your fingers. Wipe

with warm water and dry.

Do not use sharp instruments, rubbing alcohol, flammable fluids, or abrasive cleaners to remove tape or

glue. These products can damage the surface of your freezer.

When moving the appliance, do not tilt it beyond 45° from the upright position.

Space Requirements

To ensure proper ventilation, when installing your freezer, allow about 200mm (8”) of space on each side,

100mm (4”) between the back of the unit and the wall, and 300mm (12”) above the unit. If you are installing

the freezer next to a fixed wall, leave sufficient space on the hinge side to allow for the door to swing

completely open.

WARNING: Keep flammable materials and vapors, such as gasoline, away from freezer. Failure to do so
can result in fire, burns, explosion or death.
Never install your appliance near heat sources (ovens, radiators, etc.) or direct sunlight.

Installing the Door Handle

Remove the door handle from the plastic bag and use the enclosed screws to fix it into position on the door.

Take out the two plastic handle caps and cover the installed screws with them. Place the handle on the left

side if you want the door to open from that side.

Cleaning before Use

After you remove all of the packaging materials (especially the foam between the outside condenser and

the cabinet), clean the inside of your freezer before using it. (See

Cleaning the Freezer

.)

Electrical Requirements

WARNING: Do not remove ground prong from power line plug.

Do not use an adaptor.

Do not use an extension cord.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, fire or electrical shock.

Before you move your refrigerator into its final location, it is important to make sure you have the proper

electrical connection.

Recommended Grounding Method

A 115V/60Hz AC only, 1.3 ampere electrical supply, properly grounded and with a 15A fuse, is required. It

is recommended that a separate circuit serving only this appliance be provided. Use a receptacle that

cannot be turned off with a switch or pull chain. Do not use an extension cord.

Leveling

If the freezer is not leveled during installation, the doors may not close or seal properly, causing cooling,

frost, or moisture problems. It is very important for the freezer to be leveled in order to function properly.

To level it you may either turn the adjustable leg clockwise to raise that side of the freezer or turn

counter-clockwise to lower that side.

NOTE: Have someone push against the top of the freezer to take some weight off the leveling leg. This

      makes the adjustment easier.
