Troubleshooting

In case of malfunction, you can solve many common problems easily.

Your freezer will not operate

…Check if

The power supply cord is unplugged.

The door will not close completely

…Check if

The shelves are out of position.

The gasket is dirty.

The freezer is not level.

The freezer is noisy when running

…Check that

The freezer is level and is not in contact with another appliance or kitchen furniture.

The freezer does not cool sufficiently

…Check if

The door has been opened too often, or it has been left open for a while. If so, it will take time for

the freezer to reach its set temperature.

The airflow at the rear of the freezer has been reduced due to insufficient clearance.

The following noises should not be considered as problems.

A gentle trickling sound caused by coolant flowing through the pipes.

Compressor operating at high temperature.

The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision.

Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory

or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision

or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Do not use electrical appliances inside the storage compartment of the appliance, unless they are of

the type recommended by the manufacturer.

Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.

Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those

recommended by the manufacturer.

The appliance must be unplugged after use and before carrying out user maintenance.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly

qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

Avoid opening the door too often, especially when the weather is hot and humid. Once the door is

open, close it as soon as possible.

Regularly check if the appliance is sufficiently ventilated (adequate air circulation behind the

appliance).

At normal temperature conditions, set the thermostat midway between

MIN

 and

MAX

.

Before loading the appliance with items to be stored, make sure they are cooled to ambient

temperature.

A layer of ice or frost increases energy consumption, so defrost the appliance before the layer reaches

a thickness of 1/4”.

If the condenser tubing is visible on the back of the unit, clean the rear wall regularly.

Keep in mind the information in

Space Requirements

 and the energy-saving suggestions mentioned

above in order to keep energy consumption at a reasonable level.
