Meet Your Pedometer

We call him Buster

Hello
I’m Buster and I’ll be your pedometer.
I promise to be with you through thick
and thin. Stick with me and you’ll like
what you see. I’ll help you bust a move.
Bust off inches. And bust through your
barriers.

So wear me. Walk with me.
Take me with you!

Getting to know me

Put me on (oh, you’re putting me ON!)
Hold my belt clip open, GENTLY PLEASE.
Slide me onto your belt. I also work well on
the top edge of pants and skirts—if you wear
me there, be sure I fit snugly and on the level,
above one knee.

NOTE:

I’ve been known to get confused when

I’m not worn correctly, and I won’t work if
I am slumped over or on my side. Believe me,
I really want to give you all the step credits you
deserve. So, if you happen to be a person of
the larger persuasion, you may find it helpful
to wear me farther back on your body, toward
one hip.

Also, my cover must be closed, or I just won’t
work. Don’t try to talk me into any other way.
My mind is as closed as my cover.
And PLEASE don’t drop me! You might
end up hurting more than just my feelings.

I will automatically begin to record your steps.

Resetting me

To reset: press and hold the white RESET button

for at least 2 seconds.

Replacing my battery

When my display dims or goes blank, it is time

to replace the battery. I use one Type L1142

(LR43) 1.5 volt alkaline battery, or one type 1132S0

(SR43) silver oxide battery for longer life.

1. Insert a dime or penny into the slot on the front

of my case. Twist counterclockwise 1/8

th

 turn to

loosen and remove the battery door.

2. To remove the battery, use a pointed object,

such as a pen, to lift the edge of the battery,

using the small slot at bottom right of battery

compartment. Now, shake the battery out of

its slot.

3. Hold the new battery and turn it so the "+" side

is facing up. Now push it down (initially at an

angle towards the back of the case) and back

into the battery recess, until it is all the way inside.

4. Reinstall the battery cover by gently sliding the

cover around until it pops into place and sits

flush with the case. Then twist the battery cover

only 1/8th turn in the clockwise direction to tighten.
