PASSWORDS & PINS
If you password/PIN is not working:
Your default password/PIN is 0. If this does not work, call Ace at 1811, option 2 (during regular business hours) and
your password will be reset back to 0. You can then change your password in your system to something you will
remember (see instructions below). When you change a password/PIN it changes for all set top boxes on the
account, not just one set top box.
Password:
A password is used for changing the set top box settings. This is a numeric field using 1 to 10 digits.
PIN:
A PIN is used to order PPV or VOD purchases. This is a numeric field using 1 to 10 digits.
To Change Password/PIN:
1)
Press the MENU button
2) Arrow
to
Settings
, Press OK
3)
Enter in current password (default password is 0), Press OK
4)
Go to the
Users
tab, Press OK
5) Go
to
Edit
(at the bottom of the screen), Press OK
6)
Enter in current password/PIN (defaults are both set to 0)
7)
Enter in new password/PIN
8)
Confirm the new password/PIN
9)
Arrow to
Submit
, Press OK
10)
Press EXIT to get out of Settings
To Require PIN to rent VOD and PPV:
1)
Press the MENU button
2) Arrow
to
Settings
, Press OK
3)
Enter in current password (default password is 0), Press OK
4)
Go to the
Users
tab, Press OK
5) Go
to
Edit
(at the bottom of the screen), Press OK
6)
Enter in current PIN (default PIN is set to 0)
7)
Enter in new PIN
8)
Confirm the new PIN
9) Arrow to
Enable PIN
, Press OK
10) Arrow
to
Submit
, Press OK
11)
Press EXIT to get out of Settings

button on your remote if

RECORDING A PROGRAM—VCR
Recording TIPS

Your TV set top box (not the TV itself) must be on the channel you wish to record
y
Auto Tune will automatically take your TV to the channel you need it on, when you need it on
STEP 1: Set Your VCR (or other equipment) to Record:
y
Follow the directions in your VCR instruction manuals for the how to record a program off the TV.
y
When selecting the channel to record on, always use channel 3.
STEP 2: Prepare Your TV to Record
Option #1: Set TV Manually
1) Set your TV set top box to the channel you wish to record on before you shut it off
Option #2: Set TV to Auto Tune (recommended)
1) Arrow on the guide to the program you would like to record, Press OK
2) Arrow
to
Set Auto Tune
, Press OK
3) The Auto Tune symbol (an orange circle) will appear next to that program
4) Press EXIT to continue viewing the current program
