ACE-3105, ACE-3205 Ver. 5.2
Configuring for Operation 4-49
Parameter Description
Possible
Values
TC layer
TC layer and functional mode.
Note:
•
Modifying the TC layer on port #1 affects
all SHDSL ports. Therefore, the
dependencies apply to all SHDSL ports.
•
The TC layer cannot be modified when IMA
groups, VP/VC XC or pseudowires are
configured on that port.
•
The TC layer can only be modified from
ATM-IMA in 2W mode and if no SHDSL links
are bound to the IMA group.
•
The TC layer can only be modified from
ATM if no VCL is bound to any SHDSL link.
•
EFM requires a separate software license.
ATM-IMA
ATM
Default: ATM-IMA
Handshake
Defines the handshake procedure standard
and should be modified only in order to
synchronize with ECI DSLAM SW version
S3_8.10.16 that does not support the
Automatic mode, thus responding only to the
old handshake standard: G994.1 02/2001.
Automatic
G994.1 02/2001
Default: Automatic
Four wire mode
Globespan-based DSLAMs use a proprietary
mode for M-pair at 4-wires called “enhanced”.
This mode is supported by ACE-3105, ACE-
3205 if Four-wire mode is set to GSPN-
enhanced.
Note: This parameter shows if TC is set to
ATM and Wires to 4W.
Standard
GSPN enhanced
Default: Standard
Setting the Clock Source
ACE-3105, ACE-3205 requires a distinct clock source and a defined system clock
in order to fulfill its purpose in a given backhauling application. For more
information about the system clock, see
Appendix D
.
Accordingly, you have to select the clock source type, as well as the ports of the
master (primary) and fallback (secondary) system clocks, which will be used as
the source clocks for all other E1/T1 and STM-1/OC-3c ports.
³
To access the clock options:
•
From the System menu (see
), select Clock.
The Clock menu is displayed.
