Starting and Configuring ACE-3105, ACE-3205

Enter your user name (su for full configuration and monitoring access) and
your password when prompted, and then press <Enter>.
Setting the Date and Time
Set the current date and time in order to log events properly.

To set the date and time:
•
On the Date and Time menu (Configuration> System> Date and Time), enter
the current date and time or configure the SNTP parameters.
Configuring the Physical Ports
ACE-3105 ships either with ADSL2+ or SHDSL interfaces (as ordered).
Configure the physical layer parameters for:
•
ADSL2+ ports
•
SHDSL ports
•
E1/T1 ports
•
Fast Ethernet ports.

To configure the ADSL2+ ports:
•
On the ADSL2+ menu (Configuration> Physical layer> Port> ADSL2+), set the
required physical layer parameters.

To configure the SHDSL ports:
•
On the SHDSL menu (Configuration> Physical layer> Port> SHDSL), set the
required physical layer parameters.

To configure the E1/T1 ports:
•
On the E1/T1 menu (Configuration> Physical layer> Port> E1/T1), set the
required physical layer parameters.

To configure the Ethernet ports:
•
On the Ethernet menu (Configuration> Physical layer> Port> Ethernet), set
the required physical layer parameters.
Configuring the Application Parameters
The application layer configuration includes:
•
Router parameters (essential for cross-network management)
•
ATM parameters (if ATM traffic is used in the application)
•
Bridge parameters (if a bridge functionality is required)
•
MPLS parameters (for LDP functionality, if required)
