Acer CPR
Acer CPR is primarily a powerful preload restoration program for disaster recovery that is part of your Acer
Resource CD. It allows you to reconfigure your hard disk drive, and to reinstall your Acer preload, including the
operating system and drivers.
In case of any emergency such as hard disk drive failure, you may find that the only way to get the system running
again is to rebuild the hard disk drive to its original factory state. Acer CPR gives you a simple way to completely
reinstall the Acer preload that originally came preinstalled on your hard disk drive. In such an emergency, use
Acer CPR to rebuild your hard disk drive. Take note of these precautions.
A rebuild of the hard disk drive will remove all data
and partitions from the system disk. Files which
have not been backed up will be lost when
rebuilding your hard disk drive. Acer shall not be
liable for any loss of data or any other incidental, special
or consequential damages. Acer’s responsibility for Acer
CPR utility is limited to the terms of the Limited Product
Warranty with your system.
The Acer CPR utility has been programmed to operate
only with specific Acer systems. IT WILL NOT WORK
WITH ANY OTHER COMPUTER SYSTEM.
Please be aware that all software on the Acer
Resource CD is subject to the terms of the software
license agreements that come packaged with your
Acer system. Your use of the Acer Resource CD
means that you agree to all of those software license
agreement terms. Also, as part of the rebuild process
you will be prompted to type-in your Microsoft
Certificate of Authenticity (COA) product ID number.
Look for your COA number on the cover of your
Windows manual.
To rebuild your hard drive, do the following:
