Precautions
The laser beam in this CD-ROM drive can be harmful to the eyes. The wavelength of the laser diode is 780nm
typical and the optical power of 0.2 ~ 0.3 mw continuous wave. Do not attempt to service this drive by yourself
(e.g., opening or removing the drive casing). All service operations should be performed by an authorized service
technician, dealer or distributor.

During Operation
•
Do not move the drive while it is operating.
•
Do not open the disc tray except when inserting or removing a disc.
•
Do not place any item on top of the disc tray. Never attempt to push down on an opened disc tray.
•
Do not operate the drive right after a sudden increase in temperature.
•
Most errors are usually caused by the following factors:
•
scratch or defect on the surface of a disc
•
random electrical noise
•
dust or fingerprints on the surface of a disc

When Handling a Disc
•
Always handle a disc by its edges. Do not touch the surface of the disc (especially the underside).
•
Never write on a disc or place a label on the surface of the disc.
•
Never bend a disc.
•
Do not store a disc in places with high temperature and humidity. Do not place the disc under direct sunlight.
•
Always store a disc in its case to prevent dust contamination, scratches, bending, and other damage.
•
To remove dust or fingerprints, use a clean, soft and dry cloth. Never use fluids like benzene or anti-static
fluids. Using fluids of these types may damage the disc.
