8.2.2.3 Setting RAID Parameters
After the physical drives that will be used in the LD have been selected, the RAID parameters for
the LD must be selected. RAID parameter options that are available are shown in Figure 8–5 and
can be accessed at the bottom of the LD Management Window shown in Figure 8–2.
Select RAID Level
From the “RAID Level” pull down shown in select the RAID level you wish to use when creating the
LD.
Initialization Options
Using the “Execute Init” pull down menu shown in Figure 8–7, the user can select whether the LD
is initialized online or offline.
Selecting Stripe Size
The stripe size that is used when the LD is created can be selected from the “Stripe Size” pull down
menu shown in Figure 8–8. As can be seen, the following stripe sizes are available: 16KB, 32KB,
64KB, 128KB (Default), or 256KB.
