Launch Manager and 802.11b Wireless LAN
By defa ult, the 802.11b wireless LAN is set to “Alwa ys On”. You c a n
ma nua lly switc h off the 802.11b wireless LAN by pressing the
button. Ma nua lly turning off 802.11b wireless LAN does not c ha nge
this defa ult setting whic h is re-ena bled when you resta rt your
c omputer. You ha ve to use the La unc h Ma na ger to set it to “Alwa ys
Off”, so tha t when you turn on your c omputer, 802.11b wireless LAN
will be off.
In Windows 2000, only the a dministra tor c a n c ha nge the setting in the
La unc h Ma na ger. For a ll other users, press the
button, then wa it
