NOTE THAT FOR LOOPBACK PURPOSES, THE COMMON LINE OF AN AP440 PORT AND THE
COMMON LINE OF AN AP445 PORT DO NOT NECESSARILY CONNECT TOGETHER.
THE AP440 & AP445 INCLUDE 4 PORTS OF 8 CHANNELS EACH. EACH PORT SHARES A PORT
COMMON. SEPARATE PORT COMMONS FACILITATE PORT TO PORT ISOLATION. THE AP445 ALSO
INCLUDES SEPARATE PORT SUPPLY PINS FOR CONNECTING TO THE ON-BOARD PULLUPS.

When interfacing digital output levels to the AP440, use the model AP440-1E-LF (4V threshold) and adjust the
external pullup value accordingly. The AP445E-LF should pullup should be 470 ohm. Field I/O pinouts of the
AP440 and AP445 are directly compatible. The AP445E-LF includes a pullup supply pin for each port at pin 5
(port 0), pin 15 (port 1), pin 25 (port 2), and pin 35 (port 3). These pins are not connected on the AP440.
