IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE:
• Do not use the appliance except as described in this manual.
• Remove all packaging and marketing materials from the appliance before first use.
• Make sure the voltage of the outlet corresponds to the values on the plate of the
appliance. Use only earthed electrical outlets.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on or plugged into an
electrical outlet.
• This appliance is not designed to operate using an external timer or a separate
remote control system.
• Place the appliance only on a stable and heat-resistant surface away from other
heat sources. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be higher when the
device is in operation.
• Do not cover the appliance as there is a risk of overheating.
• Keep a minimum safe distance of at least 10cm from combustible materials such as

• Unplug the appliance when not in use.
• When unplugging the appliance from the wall outlet, never pull on the power cord,
but grasp the plug and pull it out to disconnect it.
• Do not allow children or incapable persons to operate the appliance; use it outside
of their reach.
• Persons with reduced mobility, impaired sensory perception, lack of mental
capacity or persons unfamiliar with the operation must use the appliance
only under the supervision of a responsible person familiar with the use of the
appliance.
• Take special care when the appliance is used near children. Do not allow the
appliance to be used as a toy.
• Do not allow the power cable to hang freely over the edge of the counter where
children can reach it. Do not use the appliance outdoors or on a wet surface as
there is a risk of electric shock.
• Do not use accessories other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not use the appliance with a damaged power cable or plug, have it repaired

DANGER! Hot surface - To prevent injury from burns, do not touch the surface of
the appliance during operation. Use only handles and controls. Notice: To avoid
damage or electric shock, do not cook directly in the outer container. Cook only
in the supplied inner pot. Do not immerse in liquid.
OPERATION:
• During operation, sufficient space must be provided for air circu-
lation above and around the appliance. When using the appliance, the outer
container, the removable pot and the lid heat up. • Do not touch the hot sur-
faces. Use handles and the lid handle to handle the pot or lid. • Do not use the
appliance if the inner ceramic container or the glass lid are damaged. Be espe-
cially careful when handling them. • Do not place the ceramic container and the
glass lid in an oven, freezer, microwave oven and do not place them on any type
of turned-on cooker. • Do not expose the ceramic container to very different
temperatures, for example, adding cold water to the hot container may cause
cracking! • Do not allow the pot to be submerged in water for a long period of
