02. Handling the Remote Controller
Inserting and Replacing Batteries
Your air conditioning unit comes with two batteries. Insert the batteries in the remote control before use.
1. Slide the rear cover from the remote control downward, exposing the battery compartment.
2. Insert the batteries, paying attention to match up the (+) and (-) ends of the batteries with the symbols inside the
battery compartment.
3. Slide the rear cover back into place.
BATTERY NOTES
For optimum product performance:
• Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different types.
• Do not leave batteries in the remote control if you don’t plan on using the device for more than 2 months.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries.
BATTERY DISPOSAL
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Disposal Guideline
• Do not dispose off the waste electrical and electronic equipment with local council waste. These must be disposed off
through the council designated hazardous waste collection centre.
• The equipment may contain hazardous substances, improper or incorrect disposal may have a negative effect on
human health and on the environment.
• Remove batteries and separated from the rest of the product before disposing.
CAUTION
When the batteries are removed, the remote controller settings will be erased. After inserting new batteries, remote
controller and the Air conditioning may have a different settings.
To sync their settings, press any button or adjust the settings from remote controller. The Air conditioning will follow the
new remote controller settings.
Tips For Using Remote Control
1. Use the remote controller within a distance of 8 metres from the appliance, pointing it towards the unit. Reception
is confirmed by a beep.
2. The air conditioner will not receive the command if curtains, doors, other materials and direct sunlight block the
signals from the remote controller to the indoor unit.
3. Remove batteries if the remote will not be used more than 2 months.
