The personnel operating the System should observe the following safety rules:
-
carefully study the instructions in this Operation Manual;
-
pay attention to the safety and information notation (DANGER, WARNING AND CAU-
TION) and understand their physical nature;
-
not allow unauthorized persons to be present in the inspection zone (see paragraph
2.3.3) during scanning;
-
switch off the System prior to any maintenance works.
2.3 RADIATION SAFETY
2.3.1 System radiation protection general characteristics
Compliance with Regulatory Documents
In terms of radiation protection, the scanner complies with the following current regula-
tory documentation:

Directive 2013/59/EURATOM;

Recommendations of the International Commission on Radiation Protection «ICRP
2007 Recommendations».

Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), Chapter V, Subchapter C - Electronic
Product Radiation Control;
ADANI SYSTEMS IS NOT LIABLE FOR OVEREXPOSURE OF THE
INSPECTED PEOPLE OR PERSONNEL OBTAINED DURING
SYSTEM OPERATION RESULTING FROM ITS MISUSE.
ADANI SYSTEMS DOES NOT ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBILITY
FOR ANY CONSEQUENCES CAUSED BY THE USE OF SYSTEM
THAT HAS NOT BEEN SERVICED AND MAINTAINED IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURER INSTRUCTIONS,
OR WHICH HAS BEEN MODIFIED OR TAMPERED WITH IN ANY
WAY WITHOUT MANUFACTURER PRIOR PERMISSION.
THE PERSONNEL AUTHORIZED FOR OPERATING THE SYS-
TEM SHOULD BE INFORMED ABOUT THE DANGER OF THE
X-RAY OVEREXPOSURE AND BE FAMILIAR WITH THE COR-
RESPONDING INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL STANDARDS
ON THE RADIATION SAFETY.
State and/or local registration or licensing is required for System
usage. When using the System, follow the Directive 2013/59/Eur-
atom
