Now you can replace your data from tape backup. If the backup doesn’t retain
permission and ownership settings, you can restore these by selecting
Recover
Volume Security Settings
on the
Maintenance > Disaster Recovery
screen.
Note
If you are restoring from any backup other than NetVault, you will need to
recover the volume settings.
Cloning a Server
The Disaster Recovery process can be used to clone a server in order to apply the
same configuration to one or more servers. To clone a server:

Create a disaster recovery image on the source server (refer to Creating the
SnapDRImage and Volume Files).

Copy the disaster recovery files from the source server to a client.

Perform a disaster recovery restore procedure to each of the clone target servers
using the disaster recovery files from the source server (refer to Restoring
