About USB 2.0 Performance

Your Adaptec ACS-100 USB Enclosure is a USB 2.0 device. For it to
operate at USB 2.0 speeds, it must be connected to a USB 2.0 port,
and USB 2.0 drivers must be installed on your computer.

If your computer does not have a built-in USB 2.0 port, Adaptec
recommends connecting the USB Enclosure to an Adaptec USB 2.0
adapter for the highest-quality USB 2.0 connection.
