7. Resetting the transmitter
Caution! This chapter explains how to reset the hand held HF transmitter.
This operation is dangerous as it can erase the hand held terminal’s internal
software, resulting in no longer operating the transmitter !!!
You should handle this function with a lot of care and try to find another
solution to change parameters before using this function!!
In the rare case that you should need to reset the hand held unit, there is a way: just put
in a sharp slim object into the small hole on the front panel between the ARROW-LEFT
and the LED and push on the MENU key simultaneously
(while holding the object in the hole).
The following screen appears:
Standard Display :
10:15
PROGRAM
ERASE ?
5=NO 3=YES
Caution! Be sure that you answer the question about erasing the program
with 5=NO !!!!!!!!!!!!
Waiting some seconds will cause the system automatically resetting the
device without erasing the program (equals 5=NO)..
If you (accidentally) answer 3=Yes, all the internal software will be erased and
the unit has to be shipped back to the ADB factory!
After the question was answered with 5=NO, the system resets all parameters to its
factory settings:
