9. The Satellite Control Center Software
The Satellite Control Center software is a software designed to run on a PC which is
inserted between a RS485/RS232 converter (which servers as data concentrator of up
to four RS485 HF receivers) and the lighting desk.
SCC is a program provided to handle multiple receiver installations and which actually
simulates one single receiver / satellite to the lighting desk. On one side (serial
communication port) there are the receivers, on the other side there is the lighting desk
which sends commands towards the SCC software.
SCC captures and handles commands send to it from one serial port and sends data
through another serial port. Commands send towards SCC are issued in the same way
as if a command is sent to a single receiver.
In short, SCC operates as a single receiver, but it collects and manages data from several
receivers.
9.1. Before installation
Minimum configuration:

Pentium with 8 Mb RAM

Windows 95 or Windows NT

10 Mb of free hard disk space
Recommended configuration:

Pentium with 32 Mb RAM

Windows NT 4.0 or higher
Before installing Satellite Control Centre:

Make sure you have enough free space on your harddisk (approximately 10 MB)

The software is designed for a 32 bit Windows environment
(Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 or higher)

Before installing SCC, make sure that the PC is well functioning, of course, and
more over, that at least two serial ports (COM ports) are operational.
9.2. Installing the software
9.2.1. SCC Set-up
Follow these steps to install SCC:

Insert the first installation disk into the floppy disk drive

Click on the Start button, select Run and type A:\SETUP
