Once the maintenance terminal is connected to the HMU and a banner
(headline) appears on the screen.
To log into TL1 mode:

field appears to the left of the cursor, press

field, then press

Enter Password
field, then press

To log on to the management interface:

Type the number of the desired shelf ID (1 through 32, for multishelf
configurations) then press

Shelf Options.
Depending on your HMU and system configuration, the logon
procedure starts with either entering TAO at the prompt or
requires you to logon to TL1. Refer to

details.
Public#1 is the factory default password. It may be changed
through normal TL1 commands. Multiple user names,
passwords and security levels are provided through TL1.
