Bch AC Current Measurement (ACI-Bch and ACI(AC+DC)-Bch)
For an AC current superimposed on a DC current, select the ACI-Bch function that measures an effective
value of the AC current only, or the ACI(AC+DC)-Bch function that measures a root-mean-square value
of the AC and DC currents.
1. Connect a DUT to the Bch A and COM terminals on the front panel.
2. <ACI-Bch measurement>
Press
and
.
The Bch and AC indicators are activated to show the AC coupling.
An effective value of the AC current with AC coupling is measured.
<ACI(AC+DC)-Bch measurement>
Re-press
and
.
ACI and DCI are measured and the root-mean-square value (
) is displayed.
The Bch, AC, and DC indicators are activated to show the AC+DC coupling.
WARNING:
Do not apply current that exceeds the maximum allowable applied current.
Do not measure a current source whose potential is more than 250 V.
Fire or electrical shock due to the failure of this instrument may occur.
The A terminal is protected from any applied over-current by a fast-blow fuse.
For more information on how to replace the current protection fuse, refer to Chapter 8, “MAINTE-
NANCE.”
