Sampling Operation
This instrument performs the following three types of sampling operation depending on the setting.
•
Single measurement
Measurement is performed when only the left measurement display is used.
•
Dual sequential measurement
Measurement is performed when functions of the same channel, Ach or Bch, are set for the right and
left measurement displays.
When one trigger event is received, measurements are sequentially performed from the left side to the
right side.
Relays may operate depending on combinations of functions and ranges on the right and left displays.
In this case, because relays operate during each measurement trigger, note the life span of relays.
(For more information, refer to Section 8.4, “Replacing Parts with Limited Life.”)
Because relays do not operate for the dual synchronous measurement, using combinations of the dual
synchronous measurement is recommended.
•
Dual synchronous measurement
Measurement is performed when functions of the different channel, Ach or Bch, are set for the right and
left measurement displays.
When one trigger event is received, measurements of the right and left sides are simultaneously per-
formed.
For each sampling operation, common features are as follows:
•
Measurements are performed when the trigger event is received.
•
When each measurement is complete, the data output starts.
•
The measured data is output to the display or remote interface.
•
The measured data can be stored in the data memory.
Table 5-4 shows sampling operations in which function settings are combined.
