Trigger Delay (Td)
Time from a trigger input to sampling start can be delayed by setting the trigger delay.
Because timing with other devices can be adjusted by using this function, the measurement can be started
after the input becomes stable.
Table 5-5 shows the trigger delay time and setting resolution.
The trigger delay can be selected from a common setting and each setting for the right and left displays.
1. Setting the common trigger delay for the right and left displays
The factory default trigger delay is set to the common setting for the right and left displays (disabled
for each set on the right and left displays).
For the measurement operation started by the common trigger delay for the right and left displays,
see Figure 5-6 (a).
The trigger delay time is set at ‘T.DELAY’in
of
.
In this case, the trigger delay time is set only for the first display, left side, regardless of the ‘2nd’
indicator display.
2. Setting each trigger delay for the right and left displays
For the measurement operation started by each trigger delay for the right and left displays, see Figure
5-6 (b).
To activate each trigger delay for the right and left displays, set ‘T.D.EACH’ to ON in
of
. If set to OFF, it is disabled.
Set the trigger delay time for the second display, right side, at ‘T.DELAY’ in
of
while the ‘2nd’ indicator is activated by pressing
.
Set the trigger delay time for the first display, left side, while the ‘2nd’ indicator is off by pressing
again.
Each trigger delay for the right and left displays is enabled only for the dual synchronous measure-
ment where functions of Ach and Bch are set for the right and left displays.
In other cases, measurement is started by the trigger delay time set for the first display, left side.
For more information on the dual synchronous measurement, refer to Section 5.7, “Sampling Opera-
tion.”
