4. Canceling the NULL calculation
The NULL calculation is canceled when any of the following conditions occur.
• The
key is pressed while the NULL calculation is performed.
• The *RST command is executed.

Smoothing Calculation
1. Function
The smoothing function is used when noise is superimposed on the measurement signal. Because
measurement values of the specified number of times (smoothing count) are calculated by using the
moving averaging method, the dispersion of those measurement values becomes small.
The smoothing calculation equation is shown below:
Pressing
performs the calculation and the SM indicator in the display section turns on con-
tinuously or blinks.
If
is pressed again while the smoothing calculation is performed, the calculation is canceled
and the SM indicator turns off.
The SM indicator blinks from the smoothing start to the (N - 1)th measurement and turns on after the
Nth measurement.
The (N + 1)th data is displayed as below:
The average of the measured values, which have been acquired, is displayed from the smoothing start
to the (N - 1)th measurement.
