Trigger Source Selection
The trigger source is selected in 'SRC' in the
category in
.
Trigger source
IMMED
Performs the continuous measurement at the timing of the sampling interval in
this instrument.
MAN
Detects an event when the
key is pressed or the trigger signal is input
from the external trigger connector.
EXT
Detects an event when the trigger signal is input from the external trigger con-
nector.
BUS
Detects an event when the *TRG command or GET command is received from
the enabled USB or GPIB bus.
LEVEL
Detects an event when the measurement value exceeds the set threshold value.
Detects an event at the rising edge (POSI) or the falling edge (NEGA) accord-
ing to the SLOPE setting.
DELTA
Detects an event when the difference between delta 1 and delta 2 (refer to Fig-
ure 5-5) exceeds the set threshold value.
Select SLOPE from the positive (POSI), absolute (BOTH), and negative
(NEGA) polarities.
Set PATRN to EMISS or CONV.
The following shows the parameters whose settings automatically change depending on the trigger
source setting.

Trigger key
If this instrument is in local state and HOLD is set to ON, the trigger event is generated when the
key on the front panel is pressed. The trigger key can be used regardless of the trigger source
selection.
Trigger event buffer
If triggers are input while this instrument is in the measurement state, one trigger event is buffered.
In this case, the operation is the same as when the measurement is complete at the same time a trigger
is generated.
