WIRELESS KEY TRANSMITTER
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
GENERAL INFORMATION
The 5804H is a compact, 4-button portable wireless transmitter
intended for use only with wireless alarm systems that support
5800H series receivers. Each button on the transmitter may be
programmed for any zone response, but is typically used for arming,
disarming, panic, and relay activation. Each button's response is
assigned when programming the transmitter at the control (see the
Control’s Installation Instructions).
This device supports the High-Security mode, which sends rolling-
code encrypted messages to the RF receiver.
Important Note: This device must be used with a 5882EUH or a
6128RFH-UK receiver.
The 5804H is powered by two replaceable Lithium batteries
designed to provide up to 4 years of life. For battery installation, see

.
PROGRAMMING THE 5804H
Each 5804H transmitter is assigned a unique serial number during
manufacture. Each button on the unit also has a distinct "loop"
number (refer to Figure 1) that must be enrolled by the Control
Panel during installation. Assign each button to an individual zone
and designate the Input Type as "BR" (Button Type RF). You
must
enroll the lower left-hand button (Loop 4, see Figure 1). If it is not
enrolled, a "check" condition will occur when the button is
accidentally pressed.
The unit can be programmed by entering the serial number manually
through the keypad or downloading it to the control panel using
Ademco’s V-Link downloading software (Rev. 4 or higher), or
Ademco’s
Compass Windows downloading software. If using one of
these methods, be sure to include the loop number of each button.

ACTIVATING HIGH-SECURITY MODE
If Programming 5804H in the Control
1.
Program the button in the control.
2. After programming is complete, exit programming mode and
wait 60 seconds.
3.
Put the system in Go/No Go mode.
4. Press all 4 buttons on the 5804H at the same time until the panel
beeps.
5. To sync the device in High Security Mode, press any button ONCE,
until the panel beeps indicating receipt.
NOTE: If no beep is heard, exit Go/No Go mode, and repeat this
procedure from Step 3.
6.
Exit Go/No Go mode (user code + 1 (OFF)).
If Programming the 5804H Locally in the 6128RFH-UK
Hold all 4 buttons down while enrolling the serial number in the 6128RFH-
UK.
IF USING TWO RECEIVERS IN HIGH-SECURITY MODE
Enroll the 5804H into the receivers one at a time, by disconnecting
Receiver #2, enrolling as described in “Activating High Security Mode”
(above). Then, disconnect Receiver #1, reconnect Receiver #2, and
repeat the enrollment procedure. This process ensures proper High
Security operation with both receivers.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR
COLORED ADHESIVE LABELS AND BUTTONS
The No. 5804H is supplied with colored buttons (Red and Blue) and
colored adhesive identification labels (Blue, Red, Gray and Green). Each
label has a specified command function and symbol printed on it, as well
as an adhesive back for easy pasting.
To paste a label on a button,
slowly peel off a selected function and
paste onto the button of the transmitter. If you later decide to re-program a
button, the label can be easily removed or a new label pasted over the
existing one.
Additional colored buttons are also provided (red and blue) which can be
used with or without the labels. The buttons can only be inserted in the
areas provided for them (see Figure 2).
To insert the colored buttons
, do the following:
1. Holding the transmitter with the buttons face down, remove the case
back by using the blade of a small screwdriver to pry open (see Figure
2).
2. Carefully remove the PC board by its rubber casing, making sure the
board does not come out of the casing. Do not to bend the exposed
battery tabs on the PC board.
3. Replace the desired buttons, either red or blue, in each button's
designated opening (see Figure 3).
4. When finished, replace the PC board, making sure the button tabs on
the board face the four buttons, and snap case front and back
together.

After inserting the new buttons, you may wish to check the 5804H for
proper operation.

There is a danger of explosion if the battery is replaced
incorrectly. Replace battery only with same or equivalent type.
Dispose of used batteries according to the battery manufacturer’s
instruction.

INSTRUCCIONES DE INSTALACION
El Nº 5804H es un transmisor vía radio compacto de 4 pulsadores para
utilizar sólo con sistemas de alarma sin hilos que sean compatibles con los
receptores de la serie 5800H.
Puede programarse cada pulsador del transmisor para cualquier tipo de
respuesta de zona, pero normalmente se utiliza para conectar (armar),
desconectar (desarmar), pánico y activación de relé. La respuesta de cada
pulsador se asigna cuando se programa el transmisor en el
control/comunicador (ver las Instrucciones de Instalación de la unidad de
control).
Este dispositivo soporta el modo de Alta Seguridad, el cual envía
mensajes codificados al receptor vía radio.
Nota importante: Este dispositivo debe ser usado con un receptor modelo
5882EUH o 6128RFH-SP.
El Nº 5804H se alimenta con 2 pilas reemplazables de litio de 4 años de
vida. Para la instalación de las baterías véase
Acceso a la Batería.
PROGRAMACIÓN DEL 5804H
Cada 5804H tiene un número de serie único asignado en fábrica. Cada
pulsador de la unidad también tiene un número de “zona” individual que
debe ser registrado por la unidad de control durante la instalación. Asigne
cada pulsador a una zona individual y programe el tipo de sensor como
“BR” (Botón RF). Debe registrar el pulsador inferior izquierdo (Zona 4, ver
Figura). Si no registra este pulsador, tendrá lugar una condición de
“Comprobar” cuando accidentalmente presione el pulsador 4.
La unidad también puede ser programada introduciendo el número de
serie manualmente a través de la consola o a través del programa
bidireccional utilizando el Software VLINK. Si usa uno de estos métodos,
asegúrese de incluir el número de zona en cada pulsador (véase Figura).
Para obtener detalles de como "registrar" el número de serie del
transmisor 5804H en el panel de control, refiérase a las Instrucciones de
Instalación de la unidad de control.

Si se programa el 5804H en el Control
1.
Programar el botón en el control.
2. Cuando la programación se haya completado, salir del modo de
programación y esperar 60 segundos.
3.
Poner el sistema en modo Pasa/ No Pasa (código de inst 5).
4. Pulsar los 4 botones del 5804H al mismo tiempo hasta que el panel
emita un sonido.
5. Para sincronizar el dispositivo en el Modo de Alta Seguridad, pulsar
cualquier botón UNA VEZ, hasta que el panel suene indicando la
recepción.
NOTA: Si no se escucha sonido alguno, salir del modo Pasa/ No Pasa, y
repetir este procedimiento desde el Paso 3.
6.
Salir del modo Pasa/ No Pasa (código de u 1 (APAGADO)).
INSTRUCCIONES DE INSTALACION PARA LAS ETIQUETAS
ADHESIVAS DE COLORES Y PULSADORES
El 5804H se suministra con pulsadores de colores (Rojo y Azul) y con
etiquetas de identificación adhesivas de colores (Azul, Rojo, Gris y Verde).
Cada etiqueta tiene una función de comando específica y un símbolo
impreso, así como un lado adhesivo para poder fijarlos con facilidad.
Para pegar la etiqueta en un pulsador, desprenda con cuidado el adhesivo
de la función seleccionada y péguelo en el pulsador del transmisor. Si
decide reprogramar un pulsador, la etiqueta puede ser desprendida con
facilidad o puede pegar una nueva etiqueta sobre la existente.
Se facilitan pulsadores de colores adicionales (rojo y azul) que pueden
utilizarse con o sin etiquetas. Estos pulsadores solo pueden insertarse en
las áreas provistas para ellos (véase Figura).
Para insertar los pulsadores de colores, siga los pasos siguientes:
1. Sujetando el transmisor con los pulsadores mirando hacia abajo, retire
la cubierta trasera utilizando un pequeño destornillador para hacer
palanca.
2. Retire con cuidado la tarjeta de circuito impreso por su funda de goma,
asegurándose que la tarjeta no se salga de la funda. No doble las
pestañas expuestas de la batería en la tarjeta de circuito impreso.
3. Sustituya los pulsadores deseados, bien el rojo o el azul ,en los
espacios designados para cada pulsador (véase Figura).
4. Cuando haya terminado, vuelva a colocar la tarjeta de circuito impreso,
asegurándose que las pestañas de los pulsadores de la tarjeta
concuerdan con los 4 pulsadores, y encaje la cubierta delantera y la
trasera.

Después de insertar los nuevos pulsadores, deberá comprobar que el
5804H funciona correctamente.

Retire la cubierta trasera utilizando un pequeño
destornillador para levantar la tapa haciendo palanca.
Coloque las pilas en el compartimento para pilas en la
cubierta trasera (ver diagrama).
El polo + debe estar colocado hacia abajo.
Para cerrar, encaje la cubierta delantera con la
trasera.
¡Advertencia!
Existe peligro de explosión si la batería se reemplaza de
manera incorrecta. Reemplazar la batería exclusivamente con el mismo
tipo o el equivalente recomendado por el fabricante. Desechar las baterías
gastadas según las instrucciones del fabricante.
