3. Drive and freewheel modes
For your convenience, the wheelchair is equipped with two manual freewheel levers which
are located respectively near the left and right wheels. The wheelchair is in freewheel mode
when both freewheel levers are simultaneously in position. This allows the wheelchair to be
pushed manually. The wheelchair is in drive mode when both levers are in position B so that
the wheelchair cannot be pushed by hand.
4. Safety belt
For your safety, you have to fasten your safety belt whenever you are on the wheelchair when it
is in motion.
CAUTION:
Note that the brake system is disengaged when the wheelchair
is in freewheel mode
Do not use the wheelchair unless getting help from your
assistant when the wheelchair is in free-wheel mode.
Do not attempt to put your wheelchair in freewheel mode by
yourself while you sit on it unless getting help from your
assistant, otherwise it may cause personal injury.
Do not put your wheelchair in freewheel mode while on an
incline, otherwise the chair could roll uncontrollably on its own,
and result in personal injury.
