INSTALLATION

Mounting the Cabinet
These procedures include concrete pad location, site preparation, handling and transportation
of the cabinet, and cabinet installation.
CAUTION
To avoid injury or equipment damage, follow standard safety and
handling practices and procedures when transporting and storing
the cabinet to a staging or installation site. Refer to local safety
procedures and the appropriate Emerson cabinet documentation.
Shipping Container
The cabinet should not be transported to the installation site until the concrete pad or pole is
ready for cabinet installation, conduit is laid, and the site prepared in all regards for instal-
lation. The cabinet should be kept in its shipping container and on its pallet until ready for
installation at the designated site.
Transportation and Storage
This procedure requires that qualified material handlers and safety tested hoisting/lifting gear
is available for lifting and moving the cabinet. All known local safety precautions should be
adhered to when handling the cabinet. Adhere to all warning and alert statements in Emerson
document 631-205-071.
WARNING
An unsecured cabinet is unstable and can tip over causing serious
injury or equipment damage. Always place the cabinet on a level
and firm surface.
