Polemount Installation
The polemount requires a Class 5 or larger pole. The cabinet should be mounted at a conve-
nient working level so interior maintenance can be completed without a lift bucket. For more
information, refer to “Section 2.8, Pole-mounting with Standard Polemount Kit” in Emerson
document 631-205-071.
Polemount Kit
The polemount kit (ADTRAN P/N 3353CAB006) is for cabinets with the End Chamber. The
polemount assembly should be installed prior to transferring the Hi-Cap RT Solution cabinet
to the installation site. The kit has the required supports, template platform, stabilizers, and
fasteners for a secure installation. The heat exchanger ducts in the rear panel do not interfere
with the installation.
NOTE
Because of various pole diameters, the through-bolts and
associated washers that secure the vertical channel to the pole,
and lag screws and washers that secure the top stabilizers to the
pole, are customer provided. Refer to “Section 2.8 Pole-mounting
with standard pole-mount kit” in Emerson document 631-205-071.
Lifting the Cabinet
Unpack the cabinet according to the instructions in “Section 2.6, Lifting the Cabinet” of
Emerson document 631-205-071. Follow all local safety practices while lifting the cabinet.
Wear all locally approved safety gear required for this activity.
WARNING
Pole installation assumes that local wiring and cables are present
at the previously installed conduit. Take extreme care that existing
wiring is not damaged during cabinet placement.
The polemount template has various openings for mounting bolts and wire penetrations.
When positioning the cabinet on the template, ensure that the cabinet is properly aligned to
the template openings. Do not remove lifting gear until the cabinet is properly positioned and
the hold-down fasteners and top stabilizer fasteners are installed and tightened.
